Benefits of Joining The Ausline Cattle Association Inc.
The Ausline Cattle Association is responsible for the promotion and development of the Ausline and associated breeds. The information, services and assistance available to members are detailed below. They are targeted to enhance breed and breeder performance and boost the profitability of members’ cattle enterprises.
Operate an Ausline Stud
Stud and junior members may establish and operate a stud herd with a unique stud prefix. The Association maintains the registered herdbooks of the Black & Red Ausline, Percentage Ausline, Purebred Ausline and the Bramalow breeds. They are all included in the one, easy to access register. We also include Native Angus genetics into our herdbooks. Ownership transfers are recorded and members receive registration certificates for all registered progeny.
Fees and Costs
The Ausline Association’s costs are significantly cheaper than comparable breed Associations including membership and registrations fees. Our Association is run prudently, efficiently and profitably without the need for exhorbitant member imposed fees.
The Association assists members with their marketing programs by organizing shows and field days, providing promotional material, subsidizes professionally produced print material and continuing support for marketing and advertising. The Ausline Website provides powerful marketing features.
- Members receive free site fees at the Small Farming Expo and free admission.
- Members also receive free classified advertising on the Ausline website.
- Member competitions on Social media including Facebook page
- High Point Achiever Award conducted annually for all members
- National On Farm Competition for all members including percentage, purebred and fullblood classes
The Association assists members with a number of lectures and presentations to keep abreast of new development and technology and to enhance and provide new skills.
To advance, educate, engage and build the capacity of youth by supporting a number of awards and education programs and events specifically for our youth membership.
Many members have their own branded product and the Association supports these members through promotion on our website and social media pages.
The Association promotes involvement of Ausline & Ausline infused cattle in live cattle and carcass competitions.
Continuous Breed Promotion
All areas of publicity are utilized with advertising in major rural publications, magazines, field days and expos, royal shows, website and social media. This means that the Ausline breed is kept constantly in the public eye, with the breed’s achievements made known to the widest possible audience.
All members receive regular copies of quarterly Ausline newsletters and regular updates on our social media pages. These are designed to keep members up-to-date with developments within the breed and the beef industry. The diary of events also includes judging dates for all royal shows, feature shows, seminars and field days.
As a constant activity, the Association promotes Ausline cattle both in Australia and overseas. It provides reciprocal rights with a number of overseas associations and provides contacts and export support.
Progressive Management Team
The Management team consists of seven directors elected by Ausline breeders from all states. Their job is to advance the breed’s strategic position in the beef industry and keep abreast of modern trends within the Beef industry.
