Congratulations to Fiona Sanderson and Tumut High School

Tumut High School, in regional NSW, was last week announced as this year’s NAB Schools First National Award winner and awarded $200,000 for its outstanding school-community partnership with Rising Sun Rural.

The winning Rural Youth Cattle Enrichment (RYCE) program has been running for 17 years, providing students with practical skills and training in the cattle industry.

Each industry expert shares their expertise in the areas of cattle husbandry, animal welfare and cattle show presentation. RYCE also teaches the students about caring for and preparing cattle, marketing and showing them.

This program was developed by Fiona Sanderson, who is part of the Ausline Management Team and we are very proud to have her skills on board. We intend to use part of this program for our youth members in 2013.
